The Protector group are very proud to announce that we are the main sponsors for this year’s Rugby Friendly Festival.

The Protector Group Friendly Festival is a youth rugby event that takes places across three Sundays and is split between Percy Park RFC and Whitley Bay Rockliffe RFC. Over 250 teams are expected to take part with over 5000 people expected to attend across the festival.

The festival originally started 6 years ago with the aim of bringing together youth coaches and teams from across the whole of Northumberland…but ultimately for each young person that is involved to have fun!!

The festival kicks off this Sunday. The under 15’s will be playing at Rockliffe while under 16’s will be playing at Percy Park for the Paul Van Trophy. The Protector Group are honoured to have been asked to present this trophy in memory Paul Van Zandvliet, a Newcastle Falcons Legend. Our founder John Harvey will be in attendance to present. Programme is as follows:

Sunday 17th September 2017
Under 15’s at WBR – 10:00am
Under 16’s at Percy Park – 12:00pm

Sunday 24th September 2017
Under 13’s at WBR – 10:00am
Under 14’s at Percy Park – 12:00pm

Sunday 8th October 2017
U11 & U12’s at WBR –  9:00am
U6 to U10’s at Percy Park – 9:00am
